Wipro Infotech has announced that the Employees' State Insurance Corporation's (ESIC) insurance portal is up and running in full swing and available for use to all stakeholders. This announcement is in the wake of a technical issue which had affected the functioning of the portal for the last couple of weeks.
Anand Sankaran, Senior VP & Business Head, India, Middle East and Africa, Wipro, said, "The technical problem is completely resolved now, and the system is back to normal performance. The problem occurred due to a unique technical issue with the application software. We leveraged our global technical resources to identify and resolve the issue in the shortest possible time. I believe, we have traversed a long and exciting journey since our association began with ESIC in early 2009. We are extremely proud to be a part of such a program which touches the lives of a big section of our society, and are absolutely committed to ensuring the success of this implementation."
Dr. C. S. Kedar, DG, ESIC, said, "The portal was experiencing some technical problem because of which employers were having trouble accessing the application to generate their monthly contribution and register their employees. Wipro identified the problem and put in place a solution to resolve the issue. The application performance has since improved and the portal is up and running once again."
