Persistent Systems announces Changes to Board

Persistent Systems has announced Dinesh Keskar, President of Boeing India, as an Independent Director on its Board.

Commenting on the appointment, Anand Deshpande, Chairman & Managing Director, Persistent Systems, said, "We are pleased to welcome Dr. Dinesh Keskar to our Board. The functional experience and deep connections that Dr. Keskar brings from the aerospace industry and other influential Boards on which he serves will be extremely valuable to Persistent Systems at this stage of our growth. We look forward to Dr. Keskar's contributions and partnering with him to build on Persistent's leading position in the software product development services space."

In August 2010, two additional appointments of independent directors to Persistent's Board of Directors have been announced - Prakash Telang, Managing Director of Tata Motors Limited -  India Operations, and Kiran Umrootkar, former Executive Director - Treasury at Standard Chartered Bank, Executive Director of Tata TD Waterhouse Securities Limited, Tata Group, India and currently Director -Finance at Jacobs Engineering India Private Limited.

Persistent Systems has also announced that Dr. Promod Haque, Managing Partner at Norwest Venture Partners (NVP) has stepped down from Persistent’s Board of Directors, a position he has held since November 2005.
