  As part of its initiative to provide high-quality support services to its customers, HP has designed the HP Authorized Replacement Centre (ARC) programme. 

What kind of trends you see in the market in India?
As the world becomes increasingly "connected", the printing and imaging industry has adjusted its technology and offerings for a new, increasingly Web-centric era.

We anticipate that the following trends will take shape in 2010:

1.As printing needs become less PC-centric and more Web-centric, enterprise customers will harness the Web as a primary platform.

2.Small- and mid-sized businesses will look for customized solutions that will allow them to optimally exploit their printing and imaging infrastructure. For this, they will partner with printing solutions partners who can offer marketing design tools such as templates, logos, etc.

3.The ability to unshackle the printer and allow it to link wirelessly with the PC will also be a key trend that will increase user-friendliness in the coming times.

4.As environmental issues become more pressing, companies will look at adopting "green" solutions, and the printing industry will have design appropriate solutions to satisfy customer aspirations. For instance, HP already offers easy tools like power calculator and carbon footprint calculator to enable enterprises to reduce their consumption of scarce energy resources.

5.Another technology that is increasingly making an impact across verticals is "touch", as it makes for easy user interface, and resonates sleekness and style.

What is your product range to cater to this market?

HP has the widest portfolio of imaging and printing solutions. As the leader in this segment, we believe that constant innovation is the need of the hour, and our solutions are designed to help our SME customers grow. HP's printing solutions provide multiple features, greater flexibility, convenience and ease of use, and latest technology at an increasingly affordable price. In this sense, GREATER VALUE FOR MONEY is the driving force behind the company’s performance. Our products are also designed to ensure that customers can reduce the "Total Cost of Ownership" of the customer through in-built maintenance features that help save ink and enhance ease of use, thereby making printing more cost effective.

For our commercial customers, HP has over 25 new printing solutions making it easier, faster and more affordable for companies to market their business, including the opportunity to create and print exactly what they need in-house. We had introduced two new monochrome HP LaserJet printers - the HP LaserJet P2035 and P2055 -, both of which deliver energy savings with breakthrough technologies such as HP's Instant-on Technology, providing up to 50% energy saving. In fact, HP's Instant-on Technology with LED-based technology, requires four times less energy when idle and 1.4 times less energy when copying.

The compact 3-in-1 HP LaserJet M1005 MFP caters to micro and small business customers who wish to create a high impact with affordable in-house marketing materials, and offers vibrant business colour printing without compromising on speed.

Designed for micro and small business customers who wish to create a high impact with affordable in-house marketing materials.
Color LaserJet CP 1215:
The CP1215 produces high-quality documents with improved business photo resolution than previous generations. Featuring HP’s ColorSphere toner, the CP 1215 printer ensures per print page cost parity for black & white prints as on HP monochrome LaserJets.
HP Color LaserJet CP 1515:
The CP1515n provides high-impact printing for near professional-quality business materials, and is one of the latest HP Color LaserJet printers that comes with the enhanced HP Marketing Resources software and the new HP In-House Marketing Starter Kit.

HP's latest LaserJet solutions offer high-performance designs for small and medium business owners. Besides delivering a printing speed of up to 33 pages per minute, the HP LaserJet solutions also empower customers to go green by helping them conserve energy and decrease wait time with HP Instant On Technology.

What is the partner's role in the deployment of products and services?

With the urgent focus to make every rupee count, companies can depend on HP and our channel partners to help them with immediate and near-term ways to cut their operating costs, optimize and enhance productivity in their output environment. Channel is clearly our extended sales force and an integral part of HP. We have an extensive channel partner network across the country, comprising of Premium Business Partners, Business Partners and Registered Resellers. We, at HP, regularly undertake initiatives such as training programmes, roadshows and seminars to ensure that partners are in sync with HP's product strategy. To ensure that they are ahead of others when it comes to understanding technology and the dynamics of the imaging and printing business, we strongly focus on its development and ensure they enjoy profitability with HP. During the past six months, we have conducted a slew of channel programmes and multi-city roadshows to empower our channel partners to help businesses obtain more value from their IT investments. Channel education will continue to be an intrinsic part of our strategy and we will focus on increasing our engagements with them through forums where they can learn more about our products.

Which are the most popular products/solutions which are selling more in the market?

We, at HP, understand that every growing business has different imaging and printing needs. While some are printing-intensive, others use printers periodically; some need great colour printouts, while others prefer affordable monochrome printers. There are still others who want a solution that not only prints, but copies, scans and faxes as well. To meet the diverse needs of all these customers HP provides a variety of imaging and printing solutions to cater to individual needs. HP's laserjet technology has been constantly developed to provide users with effective and simple-to-use imaging and printing solutions. The monochrome printing solutions for small and printing intensive company increase business efficiency through cost and energy savings. HP's multi-functional devices are designed for SMBs and SMEs looking to soar high, while controlling costs and managing internal printing as well as proving printing, copying, scanning and faxing capabilities together in a single system - thus saving time, space and money. Additionally, HP's colour printing solutions can help companies save up to 25 per cent over a period of three years. SMEs can save space by using a single printing solution that enable black & white printouts from a colour printer at the same cost as that on a mono LaserJet, eliminating the need to buy two printers for the office.

We strongly feel that high-quality support services are important to our customers and post-sales services play a very instrumental role in building up long-term relationship and as well as in growing business together.

To provide the best experience to our customers, HP provides high-quality support services. As a part of this initiative, we have designed the HP Authorized Replacement Centre (ARC) programme.  The ARC programme is a Support programme managed under IPG Consumer Support Services Group which enables HP customers to get warranty support on HP Supplies (Consumables). As part of this programme, HP works very closely with selected support providers to deliver world-class support and great affordable prices.
