The PN1 SLI2 Extreme is the next generation of high-performing motherboard. It is designed to support the Intel Core 2 Extreme/Core 2 Duo/Pentium D/Pentium 4 CPUs. Packaging
Packaged very strongly, the PN1-SLI2 is a nice product. All the bundled cables are RoHS compliant. ECS provides an external and four internal SATA cables, IDE cables and an RJ45 Network cable. It is good to see the cables inside as the competition does not offer this.

Layout
The design of the board is pretty simple. All the connectors IDE and SATA are seen placed at the right space. There are two x16 PCI Express slots, two x1 and one x2 slots as well as two 32-bit PCI slots.

Conclusion
The PN1 SLI2 matches up the INTEL Core 2 DUO to a NVIDIA 590 SLI Chipset. As tagged as ECS’s “EXTREME” products, the board certainly stands to the claim. If the attraction does not end here, the board features the complete bundle of utilities and comes with a new black PCB, which is really different to look. The overall performance is as good as any other high-end board for Intel Dual Core 2 at the moment. We think the ECS PN1 SLI2 would be appreciated by the computer geeks.
