Mohit Electronics, situated in the Anukul Chandra Street of Kolkata, is the first-of-its-kind IT showroom to have come up in this area. Pawan Jajodia, who first started dealing in electronic goods in 1984, made a smooth transition to IT in 1996. The list of brands that this showroom houses is quite long . It has continued its association with the top performing brands like HP, ASUS, AOC, Microsoft, Frontech, Microtek, Logitech, Canon and Starlite since its inception.

And when it comes to products, the showroom sells almost each and every IT product that a customer can think of, ranging from speakers, cabinets, mouse, headphones to all kinds of consumer goods. The showroom is doing a Rs.2.5– 3-crore business at present.  

The steady growth that the Kolkata market has witnessed over the years has also made its impact on the business of this IT showroom. The recent spurt in the IT activities in the State has resulted in the rise of the volume of sales and Mohit Electronics is one of those businesses which has derived benefit from such a competitive scenario. Anukul Chandra Street has emerged as a major wholesale IT hub in the city in the recent times, where all kinds of customers starting from end-users to resellers visit this showroom. The fact that it happens to be the first showroom to have come up in this area is also its added advantage.   

Jajodia, who owns the showroom, is also the Vice-President of the Confederation of West Bengal Trade Associations. Last year, the company successfully completed 25 years of its existence, and the showroom with IT focus is witnessing the fifteenth year of operations.
