 Buffalo Technology has announced their slim, lightweight USB2.0 portable HDD MiniStation HD-PET series which is equipped with “TurboPC” and “TurboCopy”. Available in five distinct colours (Ruby red, Pearl white, Crystal black, Rapis blue and Cherry Blossom pink) with a glossy finish, the USB2.0 portable HDD also supports “eco manager” to reduce power consumption. “Available in 3 capacities (320GB, 500GB and 640GB), this portable HDD (HD-PET) series is a stylish, compact, ecological and secure way of data storage and data transfer,” said Susumu Kobayashi, Country Head, Buffalo Technology. TurboPC increases speed by using the computer memory to optimize reading and writing to the HDD and for caching. It also uses the computer’s standard internal HDD for caching.
