Quest Software has been positioned by Gartner in the Leaders quadrant of the “Magic Quadrant for Application Performance Monitoring”. Gartner evaluated 19 vendors on their “Ability to Execute” and “Completeness of Vision” for the report.

Quest’s application performance monitoring (APM) solution, Foglight, is the main driver for the company’s position in the Leaders quadrant by Gartner. Foglight takes an integrated approach to the five dimensions of APM identified by Gartner. The five approaches are end-user experience monitoring, user-defined transaction profiling, application component discovery and modelling, application component deep dive monitoring and application performance management database. Foglight can also gather and correlate data from physical, virtual or mixed infrastructures, providing organizations complete visibility into applications regardless of organizational maturity.

“About four years ago, we began rebuilding Foglight, knowing that traditional monitoring would be obsolete in the complex business and IT environments of today,” said Doug Garn, CEO, Quest Software. “And we believe our position in the Leaders quadrant by Gartner confirms our expertise in the APM market.  Now more than ever, we are committed to our mission of helping customers reduce cost and increase revenue by improving the way they manage their business-critical applications."
