  NEC provides Trunk Microwave Systems

NEC has announced the availability of its new trunk microwave communications systems, the 5000iP Series, featuring 1.6 times the transmission capacity of existing 5000S systems. The new 5000iP Series supports full packet networking for long-distance communications of up to 50 kilometres between metropolitan and mountainous areas where it is difficult to lay optical cable.

The new systems strengthens trunk networks with LTE and 4G communications, and they support full packet, high capacity communications that reach 1.6 times (4Gbps) higher than existing 5000S products.

Moreover, in addition to maximizing transmission volume with a Cross Polarization Interference Canceller (XPIC), the new system also automatically changes the modulation method and the transmission rate in response to wireless link quality as well as optimizes transmission capacity in response to weather conditions with the Adaptive Modulation Radio (AMR) functions.
