Port Indigo Inc. has launched its India operations under the name of Port Indigo Mobile Solutions Private Limited to cater to the Indian mobile user, with technology to help overcome and disregard usage barriers and unfamiliarity of the mobile phone. This is believed to be a wholly-owned subsidiary of the US parent and has its registered office in Mumbai. Kall Ramanathan heads the company’s India operations as its Country Head. Port Indigo USA is an offshoot of Thaumaturgix, Inc., an 18 year old IT services company based in New York City. Moses Merchant, CEO, Port Indigo said, "India is an important and exciting market that is at the crossroads of mobile and internet communications. With our entry into this market, we are set to tap into this high potential by providing easy to use and yet affordable solutions." |
