SAP has felicitated 23 enterprises with the SAP Awards for Customer Excellence (ACE), for successful deployment of SAP solutions across India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to enable them to achieve business goals.
The awards were presented at the sixth SAP ACE Awards 2012 held at Hotel ITC Maratha in Mumbai, India. SAP also gave special recognition awards to six customers to highlight the pioneering work done in the emerging solution areas, including Database & Technology, HANA and Mobility.
“The ACE awards recognize the cutting-edge work that Indian enterprises are doing from a SAP implementation perspective to deliver game-changing innovation and value to their business,” said Sanjay J. Poonen, President & Corporate Officer, Global Solutions and Head of Mobility Divisions, SAP AG. “Emerging companies came to the fore this year, with over 30 per cent of nominations coming in from them,” he added.
This year, SAP ACE received the largest number of entries, with 151 nominations across 21 different categories. The award process involved a rigorous three-step evaluation process that included performance benchmarking across 5 KPIs and 10 best practices, as also customer interviews and a detailed jury discussion.
The SAP Best Run award category for SAP implementation received maximum nominations, followed by the SAP Best Run award in Manufacturing and HR. Marking SAP’s expansion in the emerging markets, three new award categories – Best BusinessOne implementation, Best Run Organization in Sri Lanka and Best implementation in R&D Design and New Product Development have been introduced this year.
