This new arrival from Canon is a GPS-enabled 12-mega pixel compact superzoom camera with manual controls. It features 3-inch LCD with 14x (28-392) zoom lens. Users have the option to shoot Super Slow 340x240 movies at 240fps and 1080p24 Full HD video. There is also a Movie Digest mode that records a short video clip right before shooting a still image and then combines one day's worth of clips into a VGA-resolution video. Canon offers an optional waterproof case for this model.

The Canon PowerShot SX230 HS has a good low-light photo quality giving excellent colour; shooting options that encourage experimentation; and great-looking video quality. Its GPS technology will automatically tag your photos with time and locations. You can even view all the photos' locations on a map by using specially bundled software. And with amazing features, such as the HS SYSTEM, 12.1 mega pixels, 14x Wide-Angle Optical Zoom and 1080p Full HD Video, the stylish PowerShot SX230 HS is your essential travelling companion!

Canon's HS SYSTEM consists of a high-sensitivity sensor and DIGIC imaging processor to capture sharp, noise-free images with naturally vivid colours in any lighting conditions, especially in low light without using flash and tripod. There are also two automatic modes - in addition to Program: Auto and Easy mode. And there are a set of Scene modes in addition to the commonly used ones on the Mode dial itself for Portrait, Landscape, and Kids&Pets.
