India continues to be a strategic center for Progress Software, says CEO Philip Pead
Progress Software Corporation has announced that its President & CEO Philip Pead has visited the company’s India development center in Hyderabad. The company claims the Hyderabad center as the second-largest engineering site globally for progress with approximately
300 employees and plays a key role in developing and driving the company’s cloud strategy.
The company recently launched its “Progress Pacific” application platform as a service (aPaaS) for building and managing "connected apps" on any Cloud or device.
Ramesh Loganathan, VP Products & Centre Head, Progress Software, said, Pead visiting the India center and meeting our team highlights the important role the Hyderabad labs play in our product efforts. Our talented team here is taking the lead on many of the company’s innovative initiatives.
India continues to be a strategic center for Progress. Since its inception, it has actively engaged on our major product initiatives, including the just launched Progress Pacific platform. The cloud services team based out of Hyderabad is playing a key role in making our aPaaS strategy a reality for customers and partners around the world,” said Pead, during his visit to the India Center.
A substantial part of Progress’ new Cloud services engineering team is based at its India development center and is responsible for building central components of the Pacific aPaaS platform.
