OPPO completes a year in India
OPPO celebrates the first anniversary of its entry into the Indian market. OPPO entered the Indian market in early 2014 with its flagship device OPPO N1 launched by brand ambassadors Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor. To mark the beginning of the celebrations, OPPO has announced its first Anniversary Offer with attractive offers and a reduction in price on select popular models.
According to Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO Mobiles India, “In our global expansion, India is a very key market for us – primarily because we feel there is a huge potential to grow in the Indian smartphone market. We are a global brand but we want to think and act like part of the community we’re involved in every market we go to – and that’s particularly true in India. To date, we have been focussing on setting up the business in India, increasing our network and availability across the country and we will continue that progress in the next five years. As we complete our first year of operations, the Special Anniversary offer comes is a show of our gratitude for the huge support we have received from our customers.”The anniversary offer can be availed throughout February. Customers looking to buy any of the five select models of OPPO smartphone can visit any of the retail outlets as well as online on Flipkart and Amazon. Currently, OPPO is present in 5,000 retail outlets, in more than 20 major cities across India as well as major sites online. OPPO plans on opening exclusive showrooms and stores as a part of their growth roadmap in India.
