Present & Future: Dimension Data acquires a majority stake in Magenta, a Chile-based systems integrator and renamed the company Dimension Data Chile. They became one of the four organizations worldwide to achieve Cisco Global Certification and won 32 awards at the annual Cisco Partner Summit. They also achieved Microsoft Direct Large Account Reseller status in Hong Kong. Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) and Dimension Data reach agreement on the terms of a cash offer to be made by NTT for the entire issue and to be issued ordinary share capital of Dimension Data for approximately GBP2.1 billion.

Present & Future: The company witnessed a lot of restructuring at the top level, with Rothin Bhattacharya moving to strategy and marketing replacing George Paul and he moving to R&D. There were some new entrants from the industry also. It announced formal possession of two acres of land for setting up a state-of-the-art facility - “HCL Development Centre” in Thiruvananthapuram. 

The company bagged government contracts such as smart card-based PDS system in Chandigarh. HCL Infosystems emerged as the leading SI for power reforms and was awarded a Rs.100-crore RAPDRP project from HPSEB (HP State Electricity Board). It also deployed India's largest Airport Operation Control Centre for Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) to centrally oversee and monitor comprehensive Airport Operations through 3,200 cameras across the Terminal 3 (T3) and monitor over 50,000-plus sensor points for real-time inputs and collaborative viewing. It also deployed Dial 100 solutions for the Noida Police to equip the Police force to access automated information that travels much faster which will help the Police force to act in a more efficient manner.
