Since the ICT industry in India is on a robust growth path, it is no surprise that the country has successfully attracted top-tier IT Companies like Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Accenture, HP, Intel, Dell, and almost all the top IT giants of the world. Added to this, home grown companies like HCL and Chirag have made their imprint on the IT landscape. 

Below is the rundown of top technology vendors that have contributed a lot in redefining the IT landscape of India:

Hewlett-Packard India

Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, HP is a leading multinational information technology corporation headed by Mark V Hurd who is the company's president, chief executive officer and chairman.

 Cisco System India

The company also enjoyed great success in the BFSI vertical, where its deployment for Kotak Mahindra bank won it the Best Contact Center Deployment Award from the prestigious Asian Banker Awards in April 2011.  Oracle India  

Since coming to India, Oracle has played a significant role in shaping the information technology industry inside the country and has established a footprint unmatched by most of its multinational competitors. 

Oracle has been in India for 22 years. In fact, Oracle was one of the first multinational software companies to set up operations in India. Beginning with a distributorship through Tata Consultancy Services in 1987, the company established direct operations with a liaison office in 1991, and in 1993 formed Oracle India Private Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oracle Corp., focussed on the sales and marketing of Oracle software in India. The company will continue to strengthen its market share in the Indian market.

Intel India

Intel India is a subsidiary of Intel Corporation. inventor of the x86 series of microprocessors., Intel is the world's largest semiconductor chip maker, based on revenue.  Key people for Intel in India include Ramamurthy Sivakumar, Managing Director, Sales and Marketing - Intel South Asia.
