Cashify has expanded its offline footprint to 95 cities across India, reaching over 250 branded retail outlets, as it deepens its presence in the country’s growing refurbished electronics market. Alongside this expansion, the company has unveiled “Cashify Select,” a new premium offering aimed at customers seeking higher-quality refurbished devices.
The move reflects a broader shift in consumer preferences, with buyers increasingly prioritising value, reliability, and assurance over entry-level affordability. Cashify has also broadened its portfolio beyond smartphones to include laptops, wearables, audio products, tablets, and gaming consoles, responding to rising demand across categories.
Consumer shift drives premium expansion
Industry trends indicate that India’s refurbished electronics market is undergoing a transformation, with customers showing greater willingness to invest in premium devices backed by quality guarantees. The emergence of repeat purchases and upgrade cycles further signals a maturing recommerce ecosystem.
“India’s refurbished electronics market is evolving rapidly, and customer expectations are evolving with it. Over the last year, we have seen strong demand not only across more cities, but also across more categories and more premium products. ‘Cashify Select’ targets high-value segment
As part of its next growth phase, Cashify Select has been introduced as a premium tier within the company’s refurbished offerings. The initiative is designed to deliver near-new device experiences while maintaining the cost advantages of recommerce.
The range includes smartphones, laptops such as MacBooks, gaming consoles including PlayStation 5, smartwatches, cameras, premium audio devices, and Amazon-branded products. Each device undergoes a structured evaluation process, covering cosmetic grading, performance checks, battery health assessment, and multi-level testing to ensure quality and reliability.
“Refurbished electronics in India are moving from being purely price-driven to becoming increasingly value and trust-driven. Customers are more willing to spend on premium devices if they feel confident about the quality and reliability of what they are buying. Cashify Select is our response to that shift. It is designed for customers who want the assurance of quality, while still benefiting from the value that refurbished offers,” said Nakul Kumar, Co-Founder and CMO, Cashify.
The company is also positioning select retail outlets as experience-driven stores, offering curated in-store engagement formats to enhance customer confidence.
