Designed to rival Uber, Rapido, and Porter, the app-based platform promises 15-minute pickups and flexible delivery options using two-wheelers and three-wheelers.
India’s largest integrated logistics player, Delhivery, has officially entered the hyperlocal delivery app market with the launch of ‘Delhivery Direct’, an on-demand intracity delivery service aimed at competing with Uber, Rapido, and Porter. Initially rolled out in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru, the service marks a strategic expansion of Delhivery’s core offerings beyond long-haul logistics.
Delhivery Direct allows customers to book pickups within 15 minutes using an easy-to-navigate mobile app, providing flexible options for transporting small parcels and bulk consignments. The service uses a combination of two-wheelers and three-wheelers to execute fast doorstep deliveries across the city.

Elated Sahil Barua, Managing Director and CEO of Delhivery, said, “We are now fully live with Delhivery Direct across NCR and Bengaluru—two of the largest markets for on-demand intracity service in India—and will rapidly expand to key metros.” The new initiative aligns with the broader trend of rising same-day delivery demands, largely driven by quick-commerce platforms that promise ultra-fast fulfilment of essentials like groceries and gadgets.
This new same-day courier service reflects Delhivery’s intent to capture a larger share of the rapidly growing urban parcel delivery market in India. As consumer demand for instant deliveries continues to rise, especially among small businesses, e-commerce sellers, and individual users, the Delhivery Direct logistics platform aims to offer a reliable, scalable solution.
The move comes amid rising competition in India’s last-mile logistics space, where hyperlocal fulfillment has become critical for speed, customer satisfaction, and retention. By leveraging its established infrastructure and tech capabilities, Delhivery hopes to scale this model quickly across other major cities.
With fast doorstep delivery solutions becoming the norm, Delhivery Direct could reshape urban delivery dynamics while bolstering the company's service portfolio and increasing its touchpoints with everyday consumers.
