Airtel Payments Bank has appointed Manish Pandey as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). In this role, he will be responsible for introducing, implementing, and maintaining safe information security practices to strengthen the security framework for the bank.

He will be heading the Information and cyber security practice for the Airtel Payments Bank. He will also lead the regulatory engagement, governance, and audit matters pertaining to information security at the bank.

Pandey will report to Pradeep Rangi, Chief Risk Officer. In its LinkedIn post, Airtel Payments Bank said, “We welcome Manish Pandey, our new Chief Information Security Officer, on board.” Prior to his new role, he was working as Assistant General Manager-Cyber and Information Security with Paytm Payments Bank.

Pandey comes with over 12 years of experience across different sectors with expertise in IT and cybersecurity, cyberlaw and data protection. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Payment Card Industry Security Implementer (CPISI).
