Albis Technologies has announced that its ACCEED family of Ethernet Demarcation Devices (EDD)  has received Carrier Ethernet (CE) 2.0 certification from the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF). The company's ACCEED copper and fiber access devices are now MEF CE 2.0 certified for E-Line, E-LAN, and E-Access services.

Patrik Schoenenberger, Head of Access Solutions & VP, Albis Technologies, said, "Achieving MEF 2.0 certification for our ACCEED family of Ethernet Demarcation Devices guarantees that our customers are deploying a state-of-the-art solution capable of delivering reliable Ethernet services in a multi-vendor environment. Based on our longstanding support of the MEF CE 1.0 standard, combined with this latest certification, Albis Technologies leads the industry in supporting the development of next-generation standards and specifications to enable increased service deployments and revenue opportunities for telco operators and service providers.

The MEF's CE certification standardizes Carrier Ethernet technology based on a set of strict quality constraints, ensuring that service providers and operators in the telecommunications industry can reliably deliver end-to-end Carrier Ethernet services without experiencing any impact on performance.

Prior to receiving MEF CE 2.0 certification, Albis Technologies' ACCEED EDDs underwent an extensive authorization process in an independent laboratory, passing each test unconditionally.
