Intending to expand its MobileNow strategy, which optimizes the delivery of corporate data on the mobile platform, Attachmate Corporation has announced the release of the Attachmate Verastream Terminal Client app for iPad. With the Verastream Terminal Client app, users can now securely access mainframes directly from their iPad.
Advancing business productivity beyond calendaring and email on mobile devices is at the centre of Attachmate’s MobileNow strategy. Attachmate’s platform currently offers solutions that utilize HTML 5 and application virtualization. Adding an iPad optimized solution will provide a simple and cost-effective option for Attachmate and this new launch will also help IT to deliver enterprise business applications commonly found on mainframes and midrange systems to mobile devices.
