BSA has announced that DocuSign, the Agreement Cloud Company has joined BSA as a new global member. Trâm Phi, DocuSign’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel, will join BSA’s Board of Directors.
Victoria Espinel, President and CEO of BSA | The Software Alliance, comments, “The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live and work. The software industry has risen to the challenge with resources to support the rapidly changing digital economy. BSA has also had to shift and change this year – we launched our first-ever state advocacy program, created a multi-sector coalition focused on data flows, and offered government's guidance on their response to and recovery from the pandemic. As a company whose products enable remote work through technology, DocuSign understands the importance of forward-looking tech policies that foster further trust in technology. I’m excited to welcome DocuSign and Trâm Phi to BSA, and I look forward to partnering with them on our core policy priorities.”
According to Trâm Phi, Senior Vice President and General Counsel at DocuSign, “Digital transformation has become a defining issue of 2020 as people around the world shifted to working and learning remotely. Building further trust in the technologies that power the remote economy is very important to DocuSign, and we’re thrilled to work with BSA to develop global frameworks for AI usage and cross-border data movement, push for strong and comprehensive US federal privacy legislation, and ensure that governments have the software solutions they need to more efficiently and effectively serve their constituents during these difficult times.”
