HID Global has announced its new Crescendo C1150 smart card suite of credentials that provide a standards-based solution across a broad range of converged logical and physical access applications.  The smart cards come pre-loaded with a default configuration that has been tested across a range of logical access applications including Microsoft products as well as HID’s 4TRESS AAA authentication server.Â
Â
The Crescendo C1150 smart cards work in stand-alone mode without card management system involvement for out-of-the-box deployment.  The cards provide broad support for Microsoft’s logical access products through interoperability with the Microsoft-approved smart card Minidriver specification, as well as third-party applications.Â

Helmut Dansachmueller, senior director, product marketing, HID Global, said, “This latest addition to the Crescendo smart card family reinforces our Genuine HID value proposition to continually support our customers with a growing range of innovative products that are part of the industry’s broadest line of trusted, full interoperable secure identity solutions.”
