Dataton will mark its Asian market debut at the InfoComm China 2013 with the launch of a new WATCHPAX media server .
Measuring just 127 x 148 x 22 mm, WATCHPAX is a standalone media server with built-in multi-display and scheduling software. The server is kept in a black aluminium enclosure. It has been designed for system integrators, live-event professionals and show designers.
Kenneth Cheung, CEO of Hong Kong-based Audio Visual Technique, Dataton’s Premium Partner for South-East Asia, stated, “We have had another wonderful year with WATCHOUT throughout the Asian region, with our Chinese sales going particularly well. The latest version has Chinese-language support and we are particularly pleased that the Bejing National Theatre is now specifying WATCHOUT for all productions that require AV display technology.”
He further added, “At InfoComm China, we will be writing the next chapter in this story with the help of WATCHPAX. We believe that the compact form-factor, ease of set-up, reliability and many other assets of WATCHPAX will only increase the popularity of WATCHOUT, particularly at events where space for ‘backoffice’ technology is at a premium and in multi-room environments such as museums, visitor attractions and retail properties.”
Fredrik Svahnberg, Marketing Director, Dataton, said, “We believe that the combination of the new WATCHPAX media-player solution and the excellent support of our partner AV Technique will arouse plenty of interest, and we look forward to welcoming customers old and new to our booth in Beijing.”
As well as partnering with AV Technique on the InfoComm China show floor, Dataton will also be hosting an InfoComm University training session.
