Fortinet makes Partner Advisory Council in India

Fortinet has announced that it has formed a Partner Advisory Council (PAC) to help the company reap greater synergies from its channel ecosystem and improve its responsiveness to customer needs.

The Council consists of 13 key Fortinet partners who have been selected for their in-depth understanding of the IT security business. These partners will help Fortinet’s senior management fine-tune and localize the firm's go-to-market strategy for its security solutions, nationwide and across all verticals.

Affirming the vendor's determination to work closely with its partners, Vishak Raman, Fortinet's Senior Regional Director for India & SAARC, said, "The Partner Advisory Council will help us gain deeper insight into partners' and customers' business needs. Jointly, we will define our go-to-market strategy, especially for enterprise customers, and over time we will establish an ecosystem that will benefit all our partners."

Fortinet set up this panel after a major channel recruitment drive in India in the last 18 months, which boosted its channel base to about 400 partners. In the coming months, Fortinet will start implementing the recommendations of the Council to improve channel engagement on the field and to take existing channel partner relationships to the next level.

The Council will meet once every six months. At the next session, participants will share partner success stories and product positioning tips.
