Flash memory solutions provider, SanDisk Corporation has announced appointment of Ganesh Guruswamy as Vice-President and Head of Design Operations for its India Design Center. Guruswamy will report to Jeff VerHeul, SanDisk’s Senior Vice-President of Corporate Engineering.
Guruswamy’s new responsibilities will include leading the design center’s world-class engineering teams in the development of SanDisk’s next-generation consumer storage solutions, including USB flash drives, memory cards, microSD cards, and other removable flash-based products.
Guruswamy has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Â Prior to his appointment in SanDisk, he has served as Vice-President and India Country Manager at Freescale Semiconductor and worked in senior management and engineering roles at Motorola, Advanced Micro Devices as well as the Indian Space Research Organization. He has also served on the executive council of the Indian Semiconductor Association and has been featured in multiple publications.
