Sudhir Narang, Managing Director-India, BT
Please talk about your accomplishments in the industry?. I have been part of the IT-Telecom industry for over 25 years now. My journey at BT India has been terrific and tremendously successful. From just managing the business to being entrusted with leadership roles, the responsibilities and opportunities have grown. My basic philosophy at BT has actually been to sustain company’s vision of growth and commitment through value creation and innovation while driving excellence in products and solutions. My vision is to create ‘India – Domestic’ and ‘India-outward’ business models and I am sure with the kind of talent we have, we will definitely achieve success. The opportunities and responsibilities that come with the leadership position at BT keep me going. Can you reveal some of your success stories from the past? Leading BT in India and additional role at a regional level has provided me with experience. Working in different countries has given me a perspective and insights on the diverse telecom market landscape, buying behavior, different cultures, etc. I have had the opportunity to study the global market and continuously work towards enhancing the customer experience. However, I think it is the experience, the continuous learning and the journey that is more important. Where do you see yourself three years from now? Three years from now I hope to have grown a lot in my role and brought success to BT India. BT intends to offer a consistent professional services-led offer and customers can expect a rapid transformation in the level and breadth of service available from us. I intend to continue leading the company in providing unique propositions for our customers. My vision for BT India in the next three years is to create an environment where we can create India outward business models. Besides IT, what are your other areas of interests? I enjoy my work and actually love spending time doing the maximum I can for my company. I have changed so much over 10 years with my professional and personal experiences that I have started enjoying the challenges my work brings to me every day. Personally, like everyone else, I love to spend time with my parents and family, unwind and enjoy with them. I also love travelling and visit the Himalayas every year for a few days.Keep reading
