The body-worn cameras offer up to 18 hours of HD video recording—from 720p to 4K—enhanced night vision, real-time data transmission via Wi-Fi/4G, and precise GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo-based location tracking in a single device
Hikvision India has launched a new range of advanced body-worn cameras tailored for diverse application scenarios in the Indian market, targeting law enforcement, private security, healthcare, education, and retail sectors. The new offering aims to enhance safety, transparency, and accountability through high-definition video and audio documentation in real-time.
These body-worn cameras are designed to support frontline personnel — from police officers to private security guards — with real-time, reliable evidence collection in unpredictable and high-pressure environments. Featuring a compact, lightweight, and rugged design, the cameras are both dust-proof and water-resistant (IP67-rated), making them ideal for use in harsh conditions.
Smart, durable, and always ready
Equipped with intuitive controls such as a large front-record button, one-touch mute, audio recording, and emergency alarm functions, these devices allow seamless one-handed operation, even with gloves. Hikvision’s cameras also boast extended audio pickup and enhanced noise reduction, ensuring crystal-clear sound quality in noisy environments.
The cameras can record high-definition video for up to 18 hours on a single charge, with support for 720p to 1080p recording and even 4K lens modes on select models. Night vision capabilities, backed by infrared sensors and low-light optimization, ensure clarity in dark environments. Real-time data transmission is made possible via built-in Wi-Fi and 4G modules, while GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo positioning systems provide accurate location tracking.
Hikvision highlights several key benefits: improved accountability by offering an objective record of events; enhanced officer safety and public trust; superior evidence quality for legal and investigative use; and valuable footage for training and skill development.
“Our body-worn cameras are designed to be more than just recording tools—they are frontline safeguards that promote transparency and protect both professionals and the public,” said a spokesperson from Hikvision India.
Expanding safety across sectors
The cameras are expected to be widely adopted across various sectors. In law enforcement, they offer robust support for evidence collection, officer safety, and professional development. In the security industry, they are suited for event, healthcare, and transportation monitoring. Additionally, educational institutions and retail environments can use them to deter incidents and ensure safety.
Hikvision’s latest offering marks a strategic push to deliver next-generation surveillance solutions that align with the evolving needs of safety, transparency, and digital accountability in India.
