Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) has become the first airport in India to get its very own 6D cinema. Paramount Technologies has recently launched its state-of-the-art 6D theatre at the domestic departure Terminal 1D of IGIA. Launched under the brand name iRido 6D, this is the first-of-its-kind theatre to be set up at any airport in India and is amongst the most advanced 6D theatres across any airport in the world.

iRido 6D Cinema is the only multi dimensional theatre/rider based on the newest electronic technology with Six Degrees of Seat Movements and 21 Special effects that simulate experiences like water spray, air blast, bubbles, rain, smoke, fire, fog, snow, leg ticklers, pokers etc. Using a unique and patented simulation technology from Korea, it not only involves the hearing and visual senses of the viewer but also allows the viewer to feel, move, involve and fantasize along with the movie as if it is real.

DIAL’s CEO I. Prabhakara Rao said, Our efforts have always been towards bringing the finest global experiences  whether in F&B or in retail to the passengers. We have introduced many innovative concepts to ensure passenger comfort, convenience and entertainment. The 6D theatre is another step in that direction and we are confident that it will add a new dimension to the experience at IGI.

The 6D Cinema Theatre at IGIA is fast gaining popularity amongst passengers of all age groups. DIAL’s continuous effort to bring in innovative amenities for passengers has been reinforced with this new development. The iRido 6D Theatre set-up will be yet another new and unique entertainment experience at the airport.
