Jose A. Avalos
Retail & Digital Signage Director, Intel Corporation
We are participating for the first time. Digital signage and retail group are part of the embedded organization of Intel and this is the first time that the Digital signage and Retail group has participated in this show. Since our focus is on digital signage and retail, we starting to see an explosion of opportunities in a major part of the Asian market. Retail has been there for quite a long time and we see quite a lot of digital signage being deployed in countries like Taiwan, Hong Kong and India.
Intel has a large organization in India in Bangalore and it is a very strategic market for us. In the Indian market, we have a number of programmes for our partners and a couple of customers for our signage solutions. We are deploying digital signage in cabs, though they are still going on a trial in Mumbai and Bangalore. How people relate to technology changes from geographies to geographies and our presence in India makes us know the Indian market better and fine-tune our products for this market.

Norman G. Fornella,
President & COO, Verrex Asia Limited
This is the first time we are putting up a booth and having a booth enables us to talk to our clients and they, in turn, can see all the services that we are offering, everything from engineering, design to innovation. We are in the process of setting up our office in Mumbai and by the end of this year we are expecting to get the approvals from the government to set it up. Our clients are spread all across Asia and so we see a lot of scope in extending our presence and services to these places. We have a very extensive partnering programme in India. We are meeting partners who are based in India but don't have the major clients we have and so they are very willing to work with us. In future, the Indian market is going to hold great potential for a company like us. That is why we are spending the time and money in India.

Serge Konter,
Marketing, Spinetix
This is the third time we are participating in the InfoComm event. It helps us to explain our products and capabilities to our prospective clients.
Though we don't have a certified partner yet in India, there are several partners in the certification process. So, we see a lot of interest in India. Since we are a small company, we would like to work closely through our partners. So, our presence in the Indian market for the time being will be indirect. We are looking for skilled partners who have become specialists. We see more and more opportunities coming in from this region and the demand seems to be there for our products.

This is the first time we are participating in this event. Our video products have been there in the market for the last 30 years, but we have entered the AV market with a new brand named VanCryst.
We do have presence in India and have a network of distributors working for us. We focus on the SOHO for the cable KVM switches and we are also equally focussed on the data communication like auto switches, printer network. India is a very important market, since it is an emerging one. We place a lot of marketing efforts there and we have held several seminars and road shows targeting the VARs.

We have been participating for the last three years. Our focus is to show our products to the potential customers, especially audio and video professionals. We are showcasing our high- definition video conferencing terminal that can be used in meeting rooms, enterprises, schools and hospitals.
We do have our presence in India, in Mumbai and New Delhi. The video conferencing market is big in this country. It has been 10 years that we have been present here and now we are expanding the enterprise market. We are trying to find some distributors.

Anders Lokke,
International Marketing & Communications Manager, projectiondesign
Asia is an emerging market and we find huge growth opportunities for AV in this part of the globe. There are a few new products which we are showcasing, FR12 remote light series which does away with all traditional concerns such as noise and heat management; F35 series which are the world's highest resolution projectors. We do have a presence in the Indian market, i.e. in Mumbai. India being the second-largest market in Asia, it offers significant growth opportunities to us. We have recently signed on new partners who are showing very good knowledge and participation in what they are doing and providing solutions based on our products.

Helmut Protte,
International Project Manager, Coolux
The significance of this show for us is the combination of all kinds of multimedia products like projections, sound. So, the whole multimedia aspect for us is very important.
We have presence in the Indian market, in New Delhi for the last two years, but we are still continuing to explore the market opportunities. We are focussing on the Indian market by organizing events and various such shows. The Indian market is growing and so it is very important for us, we have deployed local partners there to provide services to our products, especially in the after-sales.

John Stark,
Director of Product Management & Technical Services,
Jupiter Systems China
The Asian market is huge with India being a perfect example of how it is trying to expand its infrastructure. It is very important to be a part of a show like this and to be able to talk to partners. We also come to know how to approach different countries, with different challenges and issues.
We are showcasing new products which are new to this market, but have already debuted in the American and European markets. The Indian market is an important market for us, wherein we have a number of resellers in different regions. But still we are looking at expanding our presence very aggressively. This year, quite a lot of Indian resellers are seen visiting the show.

Michael Engstrom,
Director - Sales, Dataton AB
Visitors like system integrators and end-users, distributors, resellers are visiting this show. Thus, by participating in such shows, we get to meet new customers and also help in sales generation.
In India, we have our presence and we work for a company called Dynamics Media which is located in New Delhi. We had little success when we tried to build our bigger presence in 2006 and 2007 and we had a hard time there. But we can still give it a try by coming up with more marketing activities.
