India is at present hosting one of its largest artificial intelligence expos, the AI Impact Summit 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, drawing participants from across the globe for discussions on emerging AI technologies. Following an overwhelming response, the central government has decided to extend the event by an additional day.
On Wednesday, 18 February 2026, IT Secretary Krishnan announced at a press conference that the expo would now remain open to the public until 8 p.m. (IST) on Saturday, 21 February 2026.
However, he also clarified that the venue will be closed to the public on Friday, 19 February 2026, owing to VIP movement during the event.
Initially, the summit was scheduled to run from Monday, 16 February 2026, to Friday, 20 February 2026, before the extension was formally announced during Wednesday’s briefing.
The IT Secretary further stated that all sessions on Friday, 19 February, will be livestreamed online, as public entry to Bharat Mandapam will not be permitted that day.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology issued details on 18 February 2026 regarding event timings, general advisories, shuttle services, and parking arrangements for attendees arriving on the third day of the summit.
The ministry also said that the registered delegates are strongly advised to use public transport, metro services, or cabs to reach the venue, due to limited parking space availability.
