A one-day International Conference & Exhibition - the 7th WiMAX India 2010 - will be held on the 20th of August. The Forum will offer the business platform in the country for the telecom industry to conduct business and introduce WiMAX service offerings.
Ron Resnick, President & Chairman, WiMAX Forum, said, "WIMAX India 2010 will be an excellent venue to interact with all the potential players (service providers and technology providers) in the WiMAX domain. In addition, it will give us an opportunity to bring to the Forum the key challenges which service providers are facing in rolling out their WiMAX services in India. WiMAX India 2010 will offer the delegates an opportunity to learn about the global WiMax deployments and also to examine the innovative marketing tools for boosting the penetration of WiMAX in India.
The Conference will focus on the delivery of next-generation broadband services using WiMAX, based on the open standard IEEE 802.16. Senior-level speakers will discuss crucial issues of standards & interoperability, spectrum & licensing, network optimization & frequency planning, business models, international success stories & lessons learnt from large-scale WiMAX deployments, business opportunities and threats, using WiMAX as a means of delivering broadband services to the bush, how WiMAX can compliment other telecommunications offerings, costs & financing and strategies for capturing the mobile market.
