A private sector lender, Karnataka Bank has roped in Venkat Krishnan V as Chief Information Officer. He brings with him an experience of 24 years in the banking, finance, and insurance industries.
Prior to joining Karnataka Bank, he was associated with IndusInd Bank as a Chief Technology Officer. In his career, he served various companies like ICICI Bank, HSBC, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, and Yes Bank.
According to the bank’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to Regulation 30 and other applicable provisions of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015, we wish to inform you that the bank has appointed Mr. Venkat Krishnan V as the Chief Information Officer of the bank with effect from January 22, 2024.” Details of the incumbent as per SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD2/CIR/P/2023/120 dated July 11, 2023, are furnished in Annexure.”
He has practical expertise implementing complicated migration and change management projects in the technology setup of banks, P&C (non-life/general) insurance institutions, and life insurance “grounds up.”
