Krishan Dev Nidumolu positioned as VP, Information Security and Data Protection Officer at IIB
Krishan Dev Nidumolu has been elevated to the role of Vice President, Information Security and Data Protection Officer at the Insurance Information Bureau of India (IIB). The appointment recognizes his significant contributions to the security and privacy posture of one of the most critical institutions in India's insurance landscape.
In this role, Nidumolu leads information security and privacy for data flowing across more than 60 insurers within India's insurance ecosystem. It is a responsibility that sits at the center of the nation's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) compliance journey. Under his leadership, IIB has been strengthening its security and privacy foundations through a rigorous Zero Trust approach, treating every request, system, and data flow as untrusted by default and verifiable by design.
Before stepping into this sector-wide leadership role, Nidumolu spent several years as a hands-on systems engineer with leading global organizations. His combination of deep technical expertise in cybersecurity, practical operational experience, and a strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks provides a distinct advantage in navigating today's increasingly complex cyber risk landscape.
The elevation reflects a continued commitment to building a resilient, privacy-first data infrastructure that protects policyholders and supports insurers across the country. As regulatory expectations rise and threats grow more sophisticated, leadership of this kind is essential to safeguarding the trust that underpins the insurance sector.
Colleagues, partners, and stakeholders across the industry are invited to join in congratulating Krishan Dev Nidumolu on this well-deserved elevation, and in wishing him and the entire IIB team continued success as they strengthen and secure India's insurance ecosystem for the next decade and beyond.
