Lenovo has embarked on an aggressive retail expansion plan across the country to tap the burgeoning demand for PCs, especially in tier 3 -5 cities/towns. In line with its 'Getting closer to customers' strategy, Lenovo India in association with Intel, is executing its strategic plan to widen the company's retail footprint and inaugurated its 100th LES 'Lite' in the country today in Ahmedabad.
Given Lenovo India's consistent growth and increase in market share in recent times, the company is betting big on ensuring optimum retail presence to further grow its business and profitability in the competitive Indian PC industry.
Sharing the company's retail plans for 2011, Amar Babu, Managing Director, Lenovo India, said, "We are happy to announce our 100th LES Lite in the country, having rolled out LES Lites at an average of more than one store a day. Considering our first LES Lite inauguration 75 days ago in Patna, it is only fitting that we unveil our 100th LES Lite in Ahmadabad, which is one of our key growth markets. We will continue to aggressively expand our retail outreach, with plans to increase the number of LES Lites to around 400 in the next few months."
LES Lites are a smaller version of LES (Lenovo Exclusive Stores), typically around 150-200 square feet in size. Offering a perfect blend of brand display, information, guidance, touch and feel of products, LES Lites will provide customers an end-to-end brand experience in line with Lenovo's latest 'What's your Idea of Fun?' proposition for consumers.
The 10 new LES Lite stores showcase the entire range of Lenovo's consumer products - Notebooks, Netbooks, Desktops and All-in-Ones, to address the growing computing needs of consumers in the state.
