Maker of “smart connected” devices, Lenovo has announced the launch of new “A” series smartphones, marking the company’s foray into the affordable smartphone segment. Setting a new benchmark in the “entry-level” market, the four phones include A269i, A369i and A516.
The phones A516, A369i and A269i are powered by dual-core processors, while the A850 is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The A850 comes with a display of 5.5’’, while the A516 comes with a 4.5’’ display, with 178° wide view IPS technology. The A369i with 4” display and latest Jelly Bean operating system offers Android experience. The fourth phone in the family, A269i, with 3.5”screen serves as an option for those making a switch from feature phone and desiring a handset that stands out from the rest of the budget phones. The entire range is equipped with a Dual SIM feature.

Sudhin Mathur, Director, Smartphones, Lenovo India, said, After an encouraging response for our current smartphone range in the Indian market, we are strengthening the portfolio with ‘value-for-money’ smartphones to reach out to a larger segment of the Indian population that has yet to own a smartphone. This festive season looks very promising for the brand with the launch of A850, A516, A269i and A369i. We are committed to bring superior mobile experience at smarter price points for this vast untapped population.

This new range of smartphones will be available across the country through Lenovo Exclusive Stores (LES), LFRs, multi-brand outlets from October this year.
