The ThinkAgile VX850 V4, three-tier deployment services and expanded Express Solutions aim to help enterprises update virtualisation foundations without disruption, with resilience and management upgrades for an AI-ready future.
Lenovo has announced new infrastructure solutions and services to help enterprises modernise the technology foundation behind their virtualised environments and prepare for AI. The expanded portfolio includes the Lenovo ThinkAgile VX850 V4, built for highly virtualised and demanding in-memory workloads; Lenovo Premier Deploy for Infrastructure, with three pre-defined service levels; and an enlarged set of Lenovo Express Solutions offering validated modernisation paths across leading virtualisation and hybrid cloud platforms.
Scott Patti, Vice President, Infrastructure Solutions Group, Lenovo, said: “Organizations are focused on modernizing virtualized infrastructure to improve efficiency and resilience while maintaining flexibility in an increasingly complex IT landscape. Lenovo is helping customers modernize the infrastructure they rely on today with greater choice and control, while building an AI-ready foundation that can evolve as their requirements change.”
Srinivas Rao, Managing Director – ISG, Lenovo India, said: “With India’s data center capacity estimated to more than quadruple by 2030, modernizing the virtualization infrastructure behind business-critical applications is an essential step for enterprises looking to scale AI and achieve the most value from it. As enterprises in India move AI from pilots to production, the challenge is no longer intent, but integrating legacy applications, getting data ready and modernizing without disrupting day-to-day operations. This is why our new infrastructure solutions and services are focused on making virtualization modernization simpler, more predictable, and designed to help enterprises realize value faster.”
Purpose-built hardware for virtualisation
The ThinkAgile VX850 V4 expands Lenovo’s virtualisation portfolio with infrastructure designed for highly virtualised enterprise environments and demanding workloads. It supports both structured and unstructured data, giving organisations a base for consolidating and modernising critical workloads. As AI becomes more deeply built into enterprise applications, Lenovo says the system helps update the infrastructure behind today’s business-critical applications while creating capacity for future needs.
Three deployment options
Under Lenovo Infrastructure Deployment Services, customers can choose from Standard Deploy, Premier Deploy and Premier Deploy Plus, matched to project complexity, business criticality, in-house IT capability and the level of assurance wanted after go-live. All three include a structured readiness foundation and expert hardware installation. Premier Deploy and Premier Deploy Plus add implementation and operational handoff support to help customers move towards production-ready operations. Premier Deploy Plus further offers extended post-deployment assistance and a one-year infrastructure health assessment to spot issues early and guide next steps (excluding DE Storage Array).
Validated paths, not DIY integration
Lenovo is expanding its Express Solutions under the Lenovo Top Choice Express programme. These are pre-validated configurations that pair Lenovo hardware with leading software platforms to simplify deployment and cut integration complexity. The portfolio covers:
· Microsoft Hyper-V Ready Solutions and Windows Server
· Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization Solutions, for running virtual machines alongside containerised applications
· Microsoft Azure Local with Lenovo ThinkAgile MX V4, for virtualised, AI and cloud-native workloads in hybrid environments
· Lenovo ThinkSystem with Nutanix Compute Cluster, offering independent compute scaling
· SUSE Virtualization on Lenovo ThinkSystem V4, supporting virtual machine and container workloads together
Resilience and management
Lenovo ThinkSystem Storage and ThinkAgile HCI solutions support disaggregated infrastructure, integrated data protection and scalable AI workloads. Built-in cyber resilience features aim to strengthen ransomware recovery, recovery planning and operational continuity. Updated Lenovo XClarity Controller 3 and XClarity One provide a standards-based management layer for greater visibility and control across hybrid environments.
Matt Eastwood, Senior Vice President, IDC’s Enterprise Infrastructure and Datacenter Group, said: “Modernization is an in-place initiative; it does not require starting over. Lenovo brings together best-of-breed virtualization, hybrid cloud, storage, infrastructure management, deployment services, and strategic technology partners into an open ecosystem that evolves with customers’ AI journey. Together, these capabilities provide a flexible infrastructure foundation for traditional enterprise, cloud-native, and AI-native workloads, and emerging business use cases, allowing organizations to modernize incrementally while maintaining control over how and where workloads and data are deployed.”
