Maximus VI Extreme Motherboard of ASUS tops Overclocking
At the Computex Taipei 2013, the Intel Z87-based Republic of Gamers Maximus VI Extreme motherboard of ASUS has achieved a decisive 91% success rate, as per an announcement made by ASUS.
ASUS reported that Maximus VI Extreme took ten out of eleven top spots (or 91%) at the Intel and Corsair competing against top-tier overclocking motherboards from a variety of brands at Computex OC Main Event.
Maximus VI Extreme has already played host to the fastest fourth-generation Intel Core i7 processor, running at close-to 7.1GHz, done by overclocker Mad222. The motherboard has also recorded four DDR3 DIMMs clocked at an impressive 3957MHz.
An additional six new world records were attained, including PiFast, SuperPi 32M, 3DMark01, 3DMark05, 3DMark06, and AquaMark3.
Maximus VI Extreme motherboard of ASUS is priced at Rs.30,700/- (including taxes) and comes with a warranty period of 3 years.
