As Meta Platforms intensifies its competition with OpenAI and Anthropic, the company is encouraging thousands of engineers to use its in-house AI coding assistant, MetaCode, in their daily software development. The initiative aims to accelerate product development while generating real-world data to improve Meta's AI coding models.
Unlike traditional internal testing, Meta is embedding MetaCode directly into engineering workflows. Every coding session provides valuable feedback on code generation, debugging, documentation, and developer interactions, creating a continuous learning cycle that strengthens the model's capabilities.
