MobiKwik ties up with Bhopal Plus
MobiKwik has entered into alliance with Bhopal Plus for facilitation of government-citizen engagement and collaboration, as a step towards the national Smart Cities Mission. The tie-up will enable residents of Bhopal in paying taxes and bills for utility services such as electricity and water, digitally. Bhopal Plus also provides a platform to apply for birth and death certificates, marriage registration and register complaints on civic amenities.
“This association is another in line with our vision to support Digital India and the government’s Smart Cities initiative,” said Bikram Bir Singh, Business Head, MobiKwik. “We are glad to partner with Bhopal Plus and contribute to the efforts of Municipal Corporation to make Bhopal a less-cash city. The partnership will allow people to pay for various services available at Bhopal Plus app and portal within seconds. MobiKwik understands that getting the bill paying user to pay online requires a behavioural shift, hence MobiKwik and Bhopal Plus together would be incentivizing users to do online transactions, which would further give impetus to digital India campaign,” Bikram added.
Chandramauli Shukla, Chief Executive Officer, Bhopal Smart City Development Corporation, said, “MobiKwik will be powering digital payments for Bhopal’s smart city app, Bhopal Plus. The partnership aims to bring better payment experiences for our users across the city. We hope people adapt to paying bills through MobiKwik and work towards making India a digital country.
