Autodesk India ropes in Pradeep Nair as MD
Pradeep Nair has joined Autodesk India as MD replacing Rajiv Nair. He has worked with IBM as Director, Software Group, IBM India/South Asia, when Lotus India team was merged with IBM. Nair had been heading in the same role at IBM for the last four years and was full of ideas and always ready for challenges. Under his leadership, IBM clocked Rs 500 crore of license revenue from the Software Division. In his new role, Nair will now be overlooking development centers, and the overall strategies at Autodesk.

Anwar Shirpurwala appointed Executive Director of MAIT
MAIT has announced the appointment of Anwar Shirpurwala as its new Executive Director with effect from 16th October, 2012. The announcement was made by Dr Alok Bharadwaj, President, MAIT.
Anwar has taken over from Sabyasachi Patra, who has resigned from MAIT to pursue his passion of wildlife filming and Conservation issues full time.
Anwar comes with a diverse experience of 15 years in IT Training, Sales & Marketing, Retail and Government Affairs.
Welcoming Anwar, Dr Alok Bharadwaj, President, MAIT, said, "The vast experience that Anwar brings to MAIT would help the Association in meeting the growing challenges being faced by the IT hardware industry in the highly competitive global environment. I am confident that he will add immense value towards augmenting and furthering the IT hardware industry ecosystem in the country."

Cisco Appoints Anil Bhasin
Cisco has appointed Anil Bhasin who would lead the company’s Services division in India and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region. Based in Mumbai, Bhasin will report to Glen Cox, vice president, Cisco Services, Asia Pacific, Japan and China.
In his new role, Bhasin will oversee the build-up of momentum for Cisco Services, driving smart services adoption and helping customers and partners plan, build, and manage Cisco technologies and solutions for success. Cisco’s differentiated smart services are critical to this progression, by providing customers with insight into their network’s behaviour and status, and proactively addressing potential issues.
Prior to joining Cisco, Bhasin worked at Getronics (formerly known as Wang Global) as national sales manager, Dubai and M/s Computer World in Bahrain. He will take charge of this growing business unit from Srivalsan Ponnachath, who led Cisco Services in India.

John Roese has joined the board of EMC as Chief Technology Officer. John will be reporting to Jeremy Burton, Executive Vice President of Product Operations and Marketing. In his new position, Roese will play a key role in shaping EMC's technology strategy as the company embarks on its next phase of growth and leadership across three of the most transformative trends in the history of IT - Cloud, Big Data and Trusted IT.
He has also served as the executive leader of Huawei’s Enterprise Global Competency Center, which provides Enterprise technology innovation and incubation as well as sales, marketing and operations support for Huawei’s Enterprise field sales and marketing teams worldwide. Prior to Huawei, he was CTO of Nortel. Prior to Nortel, he was a CTO at Broadcom Corporation and the CTO, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Information Security Officer of Enterasys Networks.
