Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has launch "Missed Call Alert" service in association with value-added services provider M/s Universal Software Corporation (USA) on Fixed Line network for their Mumbai customers.
A. K. Garg, CMD MTNL said, "This Missed Call Alert (MCA) service would enable customers to access Missed calls information of MTNL fixed line phones on real time basis through SMS alerts on their registered mobile number. This would enhance the customer experience in terms of integrity & loyalty and would generate additional stream of revenue through Miss Call Alert VAS on MTNL Fixed Line network."
Peeyush Agrawal (ED, MTNL, Mumbai) said, "This VAS would be beneficial for home, office, business and enterprise segment where each incoming call on fixed line phone is equally important to answer and MTNL is committed to serve the best of value added services to its esteemed subscribers". MTNL has offered free registration & usage of MCA service till 31st of May 2012 for fixed line users.
Akhilesh Trivedi, VP (Universal Software) said, "This being a unique effort to design VAS for Fixed line network, not only to enlighten the customer experience but also help in addressing telecom challenges such as retention factor, average revenue per user etc. which would lead to change the mindset towards fixed line phone usage.
