The Nexus 7 has been recognized as the Best Mobile Tablet at this year’s Global Mobile Awards. It is the first tablet to receive this honor, with the award category being just introduced this year. The Global Mobile Awards is an annual event held in conjunction with Mobile World Congress.
The judges had this to say about the 7-inch Google and ASUS co-branded tablet: “This tablet has brought credibility to the 7-inch category and taken it to the mass market, with the perfect combination of performance and portability. A great all-rounder.”
Nexus 7 comes with an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor that runs at 1.2GHz and comes with Android 4.2, the latest version of the world's most popular mobile platform. This win adds to the growing list of accolades garnered by the Nexus 7 – including T3’s prestigious 2012 Tablet of the Year and Gadget of the Year.
