With an experience of more than sixteen years of working in electrical, consumer electronics and IT companies, Saurabh Grover, Head Sales, AOC Monitor Business has played an impressive role in the company. He has been associated with AOC since 2004. He holds a bachelor's degree in Commerce and master's degree in Management. When Saurabh joined AOC, he was full of ideas on how to make certain processes or tasks run more smoothly and after arriving at the current position, he figured out lots of new and innovative ways to build the business in India. As Director AOC Monitor Business for India and SAARC countries, he is responsible for developing strategies to increase market share, drive revenue growth and profitability in AOC Monitor's existing and emerging markets. Saurabh shares, “My role is quite challenging, I need to put lot of innovation every day at my work. So, it's an ongoing process and not a single day innovation.”
Strategic business planning
AOC has an even mix of national and regional distributors and has excellent sales structure to support AOC channel partners. The company has established its presence all over India covering both established and emerging markets with fair penetration in C-class cities and is focused on an aggressive strategy to expand into the constantly growing market. At present AOC has a network of about 3500 dealers, SIs and resellers which the company plans to increase to 4500 in 2012-13. Since the monitor market is expected to primarily grow in B&C Class cities, AOC is investing heavily in these regions and is trying to expand its channel partners in every possible cities of India.
The Channel and AOC
AOC has always been very keen on encouraging the channel fraternity with new schemes for every new season. AOC conducts incentive based partner programs all over India on a quarterly basis. These programs help motivate the partners to sell more TVs and Monitors. In 2012-13, the company has plans to engage regional partners in different incentive based programs as per the sales volume and revenue. Saurabh says, “The market is difficult, and times are tough, but with team work, partner's support and focused efforts, we can sail through. At AOC, it's always 'Partners First'. We value and owe our strengths and our success to our team - our partners.”
Recently AOC has executed a huge scheme –“Buy more and get a lot more” for its tier III partners. A point based scheme, for 18.5” and above SKUs. The scheme is also been planned a lot of lucky draws and surprise bumper gifts for its channel. The main targets Verticals are Government Sector, Corporate, Individual usage, Educational Institutions, Service & Hospitality Industry.
VARs play a crucial role in AOCs business and the company believes in their support and trust which helps the brand to have continuous success.
AOC has been number one in monitor sales and aims to maintain its position in 2012-13. AOC televisions were introduced in the market in 2011 on a decent scale. This year, AOC aims to continue to develop new products, with more of its world-beating “lightest”, “thinnest” and “eco-friendly” concept models.
