Broadening its "Eco Awareness Programme", Panasonic has announced another enthralling initiative, "The Eco Relay". This fun-filled programme entails a contest known as the "Eco Picture Diary contest" that ropes in children worldwide to present their contribution towards the environment in the form of creative pictures, illustrations or photographs.
Arjun Balakrishnan, Director, Operations and Planning, said, "As part of our commitment to the 'Go Green' programme, we have initiated a fun-filled activity for children so as to help them realize the importance of the environment and the vitality of their contribution in order to recover the resources that are deteriorating. Through this initiative, Panasonic aims at helping the students to gauge their negligence and sensitize them towards building a greener earth for a healthier tomorrow."
The best among the entries will be sent to Japan HQ by November 5, 2010. The winner will be informed and sent to be a part of the Global Awarding Ceremony held in Tokyo, early December 2010.
