Patni secures Contract with 2e2

Patni Computer Systems has secured a five-year contract with UK IT services provider 2e2. The contract will provide a range of support services for 2e2's end-user clients and the delivery of in-house support services. The estimated contract value is in the region of £20+ million with the potential to further scale rapidly in the first two years.

Neil Allpress, UK MD, 2e2, said, "In common with all IT and infrastructure services companies, we have to look at the best ways to provide value to our clients.  Working in partnership with Patni brings us flexibility and extra skills and services that we can leverage for our existing and new clients. We chose Patni because of its clear commitment to our partnership and because of its proven technical expertise. This will allow us to offer a choice of delivery models, to introduce new services far more quickly and to scale our delivery rapidly to meet the requirements of our Cloud-services customers."

Derek Kemp, President, EMEA, Patni, said, "We are pleased to confirm our contract with 2e2 for end-user support services such as helpdesk, service desk and field operations. 2e2 has an excellent reputation for customer service in the marketplace and is growing quickly as a result. We are proud of the role that we will play in helping 2e2 to build its business still further."

Patni anticipates starting to provide initial services under this new contract before the end of the year. This deal is expected to be strategic in nature for both companies with complementary service offerings in the European market.
