PILL powers Its Growth with Oracle to consolidate Financial Systems

Patel Integrated Logistics Ltd. (PILL) has implemented the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12, including Financials modules, General Ledger, Receivables, Payables, Cash Management and Fixed Assets. Chain-Sys India Pvt. Ltd., a Platinum partner of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, completed this implementation within just 45 days using Oracle Business Accelerators for the Oracle E-Business Suite. As a result, Chain-Sys has achieved great productivity in data interfaces between PILL’s existing system and Oracle E-Business Suite applications.

With this rollout, PILL is already getting drastic improvements in operational efficiencies and customer service. The Oracle business applications seamlessly integrate with the legacy system at PILL and enable staff across multiple locations to transmit financial data electronically rather than sending hard copy spreadsheets.

Accurate cash flow forecasts to enable early detection of fraud or exceptions. “We consider Oracle’s knowledge and expertise, to be among the best in the industry. The implementation has provided us with a concrete foundation for consolidating the operations across multiple locations onto a single platform and the flexibility to expand in the future,” said C. Ramesh Vasu, General Manager (IT), Patel Integrated Logistics Ltd. “I am certain that the new system will bring new value to our customers and allow us to make full use of the infrastructure.”

With Oracle, PILL is already seeing the benefits of centralized finance operations across eight divisions and integration of two ERP systems into one corporate finance solution, improved data accuracy, compliance with the Stock Listed Companies Act, reduction in month-end closing time from 50 days to 35 days, to name a few.
