Using HP ProCurve’s open-standards-based network as its foundation, HP ProCurve ONE allows alliance partners to develop applications and products that are tested with, or integrate directly into HP ProCurve infrastructure.
This open platform allows alliance partners to develop solutions that integrate directly into the HP ProCurve network infrastructure, delivering optimal levels of network performance for partner applications and products. The HP ProCurve ONE alliance program also allows customers to strengthen security, reduce complexity, increase network and data center performance, deploy new VoIP services and improve manageability.
What is the concept behind launching ProCurve One?
Our objective is to help customers on their requirements of the increased pace of change within their businesses. HP ProCurve has combined its own technology with some of the most innovative, respected and visionary companies in the world. We have already established partnerships with major technology companies to deliver open-standards choices and deliver business value by increasing the efficiency of network applications.
What kind of partners are you working with for ProCurve One?
The HP ProCurve Open Network Ecosystem (HP ProCurve ONE) is a multi-vendor alliance program that optimizes the performance of enterprise-class applications with HP ProCurve infrastructure. Participating in the program are technology leaders such as Microsoft, Avaya, McAfee, F5 and Riverbed, to name a few.
Are you trying to change your focus from SMB-focussed company to large enterprises?
HP ProCurve provides end-to-end products aimed at Large Enterprises and SMBs and we provide reliable support to our customers across the country. The upcountry is as important to us as the large cities, and we will be glad to provide our products and services to upcountry as well. ProCurve ONE is a new initiative from HP ProCurve which provides customers a choice of best-in-class applications and services that integrates onto the network. HP ProCurve ONE brings together an ecosystem of market leading alliance partners that provide a choice of applications that have been integrated or tested with HP’s open-standards network.
How do you plan to promote it in the market?
HP ProCurve is focussed on providing strong RoI to customers. Our open-standards based product line with true lifetime warranty ensures that the customers RoI is always best in class. We are operating a distinctly different value proposition than our competitors, which helps our partners position us better and this helps partners differentiate themselves and earn better margins.
What are the verticals you are targeting?
We are very strongly focussed on Government, BFSI, Manufacturing, and Education segments. Traditionally, we have also been strong in Hospitality, Healthcare and Media.
How will you provide the service support?
HP ProCurve uses the same service infrastructure that all other HP Products use. With 8 spares stocking location and a strong warranty policy, we have a capable support model.
What kind of growth are you targeting?
We have been growing over 100% year on year for the last three years. We intend to grow strongly even in 2009, despite the difficult economic scenario.
What are your other major plans for the year 2009?
The year 2009 will see us making strong headway in large enterprise customers. We are also adding focussed partner in our team to address customers better. We will also add a host of new product lines. We have just completed the launch of HP ProCurve Switch 2910. We will have more product launches coming up in the future.
