PTC has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RP Educational Trust Group of Institution, Karnal, to set up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the University to train engineering students on Creo Elements/Pro (formerly known as Pro/ENGINEER ), Windchill and Mathcad software. PTC will train and certify two master trainers from RPIT on the software suite provided and these master trainers will train and certify the students. The MoU will grant PTC to set up a CoE to educate and train the students from RPIIT on Product Lifecycle Management solutions.
"PTC provides training and support to students with relatively limited access to technology, with the objective of shaping tomorrow's innovators. The PTC academic programme for universities aims at delivering product development training that is designed to prepare the students for a headstart in a career in engineering," said Rafiq Somani, Area Vice-President, PTC India.
The CoE in RPIIT will offer training on Pro/ENGINEER, Windchill and Mathcad, all three software are leading-industry solutions from PTC. Training on Pro/ENGINEER, Windchill and Mathcad will enable engineers and designers with relevant skills to create innovative products as well as enable them to understand the significant role content and process management play in which is now an essential part of global product development. The training duration is 150 hours for the entire suite of solutions.
