JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, outlined the company’s vision for India, highlighting Artificial Intelligence's role in shaping the future of India's tech landscape
Samsung has officially launched its Galaxy S25 series, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to innovate and expand its presence in the Indian market. The new series, including the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, was unveiled after the Galaxy S24 series smashed previous sales records. JB Park, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, spoke about the company’s bold vision for India, emphasizing the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in shaping the future of the Indian tech ecosystem.
Made in India: Samsung’s commitment to local manufacturing
A key part of Samsung India’s strategy for the Galaxy S25 launch is its decision to manufacture all three models of the S25 series at the Samsung Noida factory, the company’s largest global manufacturing facility. The Noida manufacturing hub plays a pivotal role in smartphone manufacturing and mobile assembly in India, further solidifying India’s position as a critical center for Samsung’s operations.

Park expressed his pride in this move, stating, “Indian customers have been integral to Samsung’s growth story, and we’re proud to build these cutting-edge devices right here in India.” This marks another milestone in Made in India initiatives, as the S25 series production at the Noida plant highlights Samsung’s commitment to localizing its operations and creating advanced products tailored for Indian consumers.
Moreover, Indian engineers have been deeply involved in the development of the Galaxy S25 series, particularly in integrating AI capabilities into the devices. This collaboration between local talent and global innovation further underscores India’s rising profile as a hub for both manufacturing and innovation.
AI-powered future for Samsung in India
While the Galaxy S25 series brings hardware improvements, Park emphasized that the real transformation lies in software driven by AI. He explained, “There’s not much left to innovate in hardware, but consumers are increasingly demanding a superior software experience. That marks the start of an AI era.” Samsung India’s focus on AI-driven innovation extends beyond smartphones, with plans to integrate AI across its broader ecosystem of products, including smart TVs and wearables.
Park also noted that Indian consumers are already among the top users of Galaxy AI features, signalling the growing adoption of AI in the country. With the S25 series production at the Noida plant and a clear commitment to integrating AI into all future products, Samsung India is poised to lead the way in AI-powered technology in India’s competitive market.
