On January 21, 2011, Suresh Vaswani resigned from Wipro as the Joint Chief Officer of IT Business and a Member of the Board of Wipro Limited. He joined as Chairman for Dell India and as Executive Vice-President to lead its Applications and BPO organization. He will report to Steve Schuckenbrock, President of Dell Services. Ganesh Lakshminarayanan, President of Dell India, will work closely with Suresh to continue to position Dell India for long-term success and growth.

Suresh worked for Wipro for 25 years across various leadership roles and has been responsible for Wipro's leadership position in differentiated global practices and emerging markets. 

In his past role as Joint CEO of Wipro's IT Business, he was also responsible for BPO, Technology Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications and Testing service lines. Wipro Infotech, the India & Middle East business of Wipro and Infocrossing, the US-based Data Center business unit also came under his direct responsibility.
